GRENVILLE'S FUNDRAISING
In the past 30 years Grenville has helped to raise over £1 million for charities across the UK.
He has supported many national charities including the MS Society (in memory of his father Harry Jones), Cancer Relief, Prostate Society, the British Legion and Help for Heroes, Save the Children and the NSPCC.
Grenville’s concert at Bath Abbey in November 2023 – A celebration of the life of his son Kieron – raised £7,400 for the We Get It cancer family support charity as well as proving a memorable occasion for the 650 people who filled the Abbey.
He produced the National Osteoporosis Society’s Christmas concert for many years raising many thousands of pounds for the charity.
When one of his Bath Male choir members tragically died, he led a fundraising campaign for The British Heart Foundation raising over £15,000 with his City of Bath Male Voice Choir.
He was asked to lead a youth choir from across the West of England as part of the BBC Children in Need 2011 and 2013 appeal.
In addition to raising money for national charities, Grenville likes to put the accent on financial help for smaller local charities recognising that smaller amounts can make a big difference to local people’s lives.
Grenville’s support of Mencap in his local area, for example, raised £25,000 to make it possible for a group of young people to visit Disneyland Paris for a memorable weekend. He also supports their wonderful singing group in Keynsham.
At the start of each year Grenville’s 26 choirs each choose a charity which they would like to support through concerts and other fundraising events during the year. Many of the charities chosen are local charities which have benefitted or supported individual members of the choir (or their family members) during difficult periods of their lives.

All of these amazing fundraising activities are in addition to the fundraising which Grenville does for his own charities – Golden-Oldies and Goldies Cymru – where he has managed to secure support from many philanthropic Trusts, Local Authorities, Organisations and the National Lottery in both England and Wales to help brighten the lives of vulnerable people.
