SING! Christmas Concert at Bath Abbey - Choirs and school sing their hearts out for local charity

The stunning Bath Abbey plays host to the National Osteoporosis Society’s annual Christmas Concert, SING! on Thursday 21st November at 7pm, offering the perfect way to start the festive season in style.

Now in its third year, SING will be hosted by the BBC’s Jon Kay who will be joined by the famous Bath Male Choir, as well as the harmonious Bath Chorus, both conducted by Bath’s very own Mr Music, Grenville Jones. This year, in their first appearance, forty pupils from Years 4, 5 and 6 of Weston All Saints Primary School will also perform some Christmas favourites.

“We are so excited to announce our third annual Christmas Concert, guaranteed to fill you with the festive spirit.

As a charity based in Bath, it is a privilege to be able to stage this very special event in Bath Abbey.  The National Osteoporosis Society was founded 27 years ago very close by at the ‘Min’ and ever since, has been at the forefront of the fight against this devastating disease.

SING will enable us to continue to support the three million people with osteoporosis in the UK and the thousands of people affected by painful and debilitating fragility fractures every year. It also provides a wonderful chance for many for our local supporters and friends to celebrate together, so please come along and support us on this very special night.”

Notes to Editors:

1.     The National Osteoporosis Society is the only UK-wide charity dedicated to improving the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis and fragility fractures.

2.     1 in 2 women and 1 in 5 men, over the age of 50, will break a bone, mainly because of poor bone health.
