Bath’s famous male choir will be setting out for a concert tour of Japan in November this year with the support of a local clothing manufacturer, Williamson-Dickie Europe Ltd.
The internationally renowned workwear brand Williamson-Dickie Europe with its UK HQ based in Midsomer Norton are providing the members of the choir with a unique tour jacket. This will be worn throughout the tour at a number of prestigious concerts and performances.
The members of Bath Male Choir taking part in the tour come from across the area including Midsomer Norton, Paulton and Temple Cloud. Choir accompanist Phil Evry lives in Timsbury.
Grenville Jones, Bath Male Choir founder conductor said;
“We were delighted that Williamson-Dickie Europe Ltd came forward to produce our 2014 tour jacket for the 44 members who are going to Japan.
“To my knowledge we will be the very first English male choir to visit Japan and one of our performances will be at a festival of male choirs which will take place at Osaka on Japan Culture Day on Monday November 3rd.”

“We were very impressed to hear that a choir from the West Country have been asked to perform in Japan.
We all know of Bath Male Choir through their television appearances on Last Choir Standing and I am sure that the audiences in Japan will respond enthusiastically to the famous ‘wall of sound’.”
