Music man heads South
Bath music man Grenville Jones heads for Cornwall this weekend. As Patron of the Cornwall Community Choirs association he has been invited to compere
a sell-out concert at the Minack open air Theatre near Land’s End on Saturday evening.
It has already been a busy year for Grenville who celebrated starting the 100th location session of the Goldies charity he started in Bath seven years ago last month.
Goldies now reaches out to hundreds of older people from Essex and Staffordshire though it’s fun daytime singing sessions as well as across the Southern England and Wales under the Goldies Cymru banner.
Nearer home, his choirs have busy schedules ahead with a tour of Nova Scotia in August. Grenville is also supporting the Three ways School teacup appeal with two Bath Abbey concerts on June 20 with Aled Jones and his famous Bath Male Choir and, on October 8,with the world travelled King’s Singers.
On Friday June 26 The Bath Chorus support Russell Watson at the Forum.
Grenville will also take up an invitation to travel to Calgary in Canada in September and lead a weekend Come and Sing workshop.
