Samba and Song
What happens when you bring Bath’s Samba man Robbie Verrecchia and choir leader Grenville Jones together?
The answer is simple, a Samba and Song opening event at The Circus to kick-off the Bath Festival ‘Party in the City’ on Friday May 15.
Singers from across Grenville’s choirs will be taking part, joining forces with Robbie’s Samba Band and everyone is invited to join!
The fun will start at 6.45pm around the trees in The Circus with popular songs to the pounding samba beat of Robbie’s Samba Band.
Grenville said;
“Everyone is invited to join in. Bring all the family, the kids as well as granddad and grandma and don’t forget your next door neighbours.
“It will be a lively fun opening for the Party in the City evening and there will be a rehearsal on Wednesday April 29t at Bath Community Academy in Rush Hill, formerly Culverhay School.”
The rehearsal starts at 7.45pm with a warm invitation from Grenville and Robbie to go along and learn the three pieces that the massed choir will perform on the evening.
ENDS
Press enquiries to Grenville Jones on 07778 282934.
